Basement Sessions is a Tbilisi-based music label and podcast series founded by DJ Jasperjones. After designing the artwork for their bsm002 compilation, I was invited back to work on bsm003 - building on the label’s ongoing idea of strong female characters who use CDs as tools of power.
This time, the character is imagined as a witch: spinning discs mid-air, surrounded by fire she’s clearly in control of. The illustration plays with that mix of chaos, adding a bit of magic and attitude to match the energy of the music.
